The Hayline has been around for decades, only recently making a comeback in the school year of 2045-2025. Students are encouraged to engage, network and develop their journalistic writing skills. The Hayline tries to give the Hayward high school community reliable and useful information as well as an inside view of the things not everyone sees, while sticking to journalistic morals such as, honesty, transparency, and real news.

Mrs. Legakis, the advisor for 2024-2025 Journalism class, leads her “Fantastic 14” student writers. Here in Hayward High, school newspapers are a way of advocating for what’s happening in school, as well as information being shared.

Throughout the years, there’s been a pause of making newspaper; however, this year the journalism class has made an online digital website where we go with you wherever you are.
