At Hayward High, The journalism class set out to find the tastes of the Hayward high students and they recently participated in a series of surveys to share their favorite fast food spots, movies, online games, and music artists—and the results show a diverse range of tastes, with just two majority’s
When it comes to fast food, In-N-Out takes the crown as the top choice among students, earning a majority of the votes. Wendy’s came in second, while Wing-stop landed in third place, showing that classic burgers and fries still win hearts of the student of Hayward High.


In the world of movies and shows, no single title stood out as a majority favorite. Students listed a wide variety of picks, from crime thrillers like Dexter, to animated classics like The Lion King, mind-bending sci-fi like Interstellar, and action-packed series like Invincible. The diversity in choices shows the unique personalities and interests across campus.

The gaming scene had a bit more structure, with Roblox topping the charts as the most played online game among students. Fortnite in second place, while Minecraft and Call of Duty tied for third. These results reflect the popularity of both creative sandbox games and competitive shooters in the student community.


As for music, it’s a true mix of genres and styles. No single artist dominated the survey results. Instead, students named a variety of favorites, including singers like Malcolm Todd, Childish Gambino, Lana Del Rey, and Sabrina Carpenter.
The surveys reveal that while students may agree on their go-to burger joint, their tastes in entertainment are as varied as the students music taste which brings a very diverse culture into Hayward high school.
